Just a “Big Kid”

From George Huang

Narada and I once had a conversation about how he felt like he was just a “big kid.” And that’s in full evidence everywhere. His love and magnetism for young people is legendary.

Jordan & Zach helping build the trail behind the Temple

Narada once told Denise and I that Zachary and Jordan were his best workers. During our second workday, Zach disappeared with Narada. I was too busy hauling dirt to notice!

After they drove away from the temple, Zach thought to call me from Narada’s cell phone. At the time, I just deleted the voicemail after hearing it, not thinking much about it. Fortuitously, I was able to restore it. Though Narada’s voice is not on the recording, you can “hear” Narada’s energy through Zachary’s enthusiasm for running an important errand with his good buddy, Narada.

Neither words nor tears can express our great loss and Narada’s great gain of Divine freedom.

Narada with Jordan & Zach Huang - good friends

One of Narada’s final projects was helping to build “The Stormer”, an electric car he worked on with the Living Wisdom School 5th & 6th grade class.  The car was not finished at the time of Narada’s passing, but Zachary Huang had asked so many questions of Narada that he knew all the remaining steps to finish it.  Several of the men in the Sangha stepped in to help the boys finish the car, and it was unveiled at the school’s Joyathon in May.  Follow the links below to see news stories and a photo album about the stormer.
